Description
This image depicts a little bit of nature inside the city of Calgary, Alberta. Around forty years ago, a local gravel company wanted to extract the gravel from this area within the city limits. In return for being able to do that, they developed a series of ponds, some walking trails and picnic areas in the excavated landscape. The park hosts many different birds from the bald eagle to the little wren. This is a good example of industry and the community working together.

Beautiful Vivian. Did spring finally arrive:)
Vivian Christopher replied:
Hi Inge. Thanks. These trees were just starting to bud out in mid May. We left the area a week later and there was a bit more green showing but everything was sooo late.
