Description
An old barn stands as a reminder of past glory days when horses were an integral part of the farm life. In the area of southern Alberta where this barn is located, livestock was a sideline to the growing of grain. When horses were no longer needed and the farmer gave up the milk cows, many of these fine structures were allowed to fall into disuse. This was sped up by the amalgamation of small farms and the abandonment of farmsteads. This barn was constructed sometime around 1908-1910.
